I have blogged about the warning “The tagging service currently unavailable. Please try again later” but now I get the error “There was an error processing the request”.
Scenario
We have three web applications and two managed metadata service applications in this scenario.
- Web App1 – Connected to Managed Metadata 1
- Web App2 – Connected to Managed Metadata 2
- Web App3 – Connected to Managed Metadata 2 (MySite)
And we have 1 default Service Application Proxy that hosts the Managed Metadata 1
Resolution
It turns out I had to change the default Service Application Proxy to host both the User Profile Service Application and the Managed Metadata 2 store to be able to solve this issue.
Go to Central Administration and click on Application Management
Click on Configure Service Application Associations
Select Service Application on the right side
Klik on default
And select the managed metadata store that will be used by the User Profile Service Application.
Navigate to the My Site and change a profile property with a known keyword:
